Knighted Student, Gentry, Returning Parents/Adults, & Adults/Chaperones
There is a long tradition of alumni knights and alumni adult volunteers returning to the Games in service of this beloved rite of passage. We are very grateful for the ongoing enthusiasm and support.
Teen volunteers who where not knighted but have a connection to the Waldorf world and would like to support the Games may register as a Gentry. All standards, expectations, and rules for the alum knights apply to Gentry.
We continue to develop the program for alum knights and gentry to have a fulfilling role at the Games. There are age appropriate tasks for them as well as opportunities for them to take breaks and socialize with their peers.
Ask about getting your alumni necklace and bead of the year when you arrive at the Games.
1. Returning to the Games is a privilege. All volunteers are expected to be role models to new attendees and squires.
2. Alum knights/gentries will sign up for block sifts and work on a variety of tasks (kitchen/service, field, etc) during their shift. Knights are required to work a minimum of 6 hours per full day. There will be several all-hands-on-deck shifts as well.
3. The Knight's Watch Volunteers will coordinate the alum-knights/gentry work. These are specially chosen Games adult volunteers.
4. From 7:00am-10:00pm the alum knights/gentries will report to the Knights' Watch. There is a curfew from 10pm-7am during which the alum-knight(s) must be with their chaperone unless on special assignment.
5. Alum knight/gentries may spend their off-shift time at the specially designated dining tables, at the artisan guild working on period appropriate projects, or in their quarters. Knights may not have guests in their quarters.
6. Alum-knights/gentries will be recognized by the Court at the opening ceremony. All community volunteers (knights and adults included) are offered an alumni bead necklace starting with their second year of participation at the Games. A new bead available each year.

4. There will be a required orientation meeting with the Knights Watch and a kitchen orientation meeting with Colleen on Wednesday. Times: TBD
5. All alum knights/gentries must be accompanied by a paying parent/chaperone. Chaperones must stay on site through out the event and are expected to join the adult volunteers in signing up for shifts. The alum-knights/gentries will sleep in the same area (tent or cabin) as their parent/chaperone.
6. At the discretion of the parent/chaperone, an alum knight/gentry may have a cellphone. All cellphones must be kept out of site of squires.
