Knighted Student, Returning Parents/Adults, & Gentry
There is a long tradition of alumni knights and alumni adult volunteers returning to the Games in service of this beloved rite of passage. We are very grateful for the ongoing enthusiasm and support.
Teen volunteers who where not knighted but have a connection to the Waldorf world and would like to participate may register as a Gentry. All standards, expectations, and rules for the alum knights apply to Gentry.
We continue to develop the program for alum knights and gentry to have a fulfilling role at the Games. There are age appropriate tasks for them as well as opportunities for them to take breaks and socialize with their alumni peers.
Ask about getting your alumni necklace and bead of the year when you arrive at the Games.
1. Working at the event to support the Games Community is the purpose of alum-knights and gentries
2. Alum knights/gentries will sign up for block sifts and work on a variety of tasks (kitchen/service, field, etc) during their shift. Knights are required to work at least 6 hours per full day.
3. The Knight's Watch Volunteers will coordinate the alum-knights/gentires work. These are specially chosen Games adult volunteers.
4. From 7am-10pm the alum knights/gentries will report to the Knights' Watch). There is a curfew from 10pm-7am during which the alum-knight(s) must be with their chaperone unless on special assignment.
5. Alum knight/gentries may spend their off-shift time at the specially designated dining tables, at the artisan guild working on period appropriate projects, or in their quarters. Knights may not have guests in their quarters.
6. Alum-knights/gentries will be recognized by the Court at the opening ceremony. All community volunteers (knights and adults included) are offered an alumni bead necklace starting with their second year of participation at the Games. A new bead available each year.
1. Alum knights & gentries must be in good standing with class work, grades, attendance, and conduct to return to the Games.
2. Alumni and gentries must submit a registration form and $70 registration fee. For all alumni attending a Waldorf/Waldorf-inspired school, a class teacher's and movement teacher's signature is required on the form. Forms and more information regarding registration and payment can be found on this page.
3. All alum knights/gentries must be in costume from Wednesday at 2pm through Saturday at 11am. Suggestions can be found here. Colleen has a lending wardrobe of clothing and cloaks available for the knights/gentries.
Warm layers, including to wear under costume clothing, and comfortable shoes are a must.
4. All alum knights/gentries must be accompanied by a paying parent/chaperone. The alum-knights/gentries will sleep in the same area (tent or cabin) as their parent/chaperone.
5. At the discretion of the parent/chaperone, an alum knight/getnry may have a cellphone. All cellphones must be kept out of site of squires.
Alum knights & gentries must remember at all times that they are an example to the young squires. Modeling the virtues and conducting themselves in an upright manner is essential.
There are a variety of tasks for knights to sign up for. Some examples of the tasks are:
> Setting up the Court's table
> Clearing and refreshing the Court's table

Adult alumni volunteers are a vital part of the success of the Games each year. Many hands make light work. Parent/adult volunteers are encouraged to enjoy some respite when not working a shift. There are not many comfortable places to sit. We encourage everyone to bring a camp chair.
In addition to the regular volunteer tasks, there will also be slots for supervising knighted alumni.
